Christmas Gift Card

Almost Christmas and I am finally getting ready making the last preparations for the Christmas Gifts, this gift card holder is a little present for my eldest daughter, inside there will be some euro's to spend at our local beauty salon;) That was her wish and Santa of course doesn't want to disappoint my big little girl.

I've used Elisabeth Bells A Letter For You, again a very versatile stamp I think!

Instructions:

1. Cut a Piece of cardstock 12 inch x 4,5 inch

2. Fold and glue together at both sides with a piece of tape

3. Punch or cut on the top half a circle

4. Cut a piece of cardstock 5,5 x 3,5

5. Embellish with designpaper, stamped image, etc

6. Staple a piece of ribbon at the top of the 5,5 x 3,5 piece of cardstock.

Xmas ornaments tutorial

Hello, today I have a tutorial for you of making Christmas ornaments.

Supply list:

Paper Julefryd (Englesang, Tradisjon and Forventninger)

Tim Holtz Sizzix paper rosette die

Distress Ink (vintage photo)

Twinklets Diamond Dust

Ranger Ice Stickles (crystal ice)

Folkart paint Metallic (pure gold)

Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam (copper kettle)

Jute packaging twine

Cropadile to make holes

Webster Pages Sparkler

Prima Pebbles

So here we go!

First I used my Quickutz Revolution with large plates to cut the strips of paper

This die will give you one strip and one circle

For the back you'll need another circle but since you won't see it, you can punch or cut that from any kind of left over.

With Glossy Accents (or any fast drying, colorless glue) you glue the ends together after folding the strip.

Put some glue dots on the punched out circle for the back and press the strip in to a rosette

The add some Glossy Accents to the front in and around the hole.

Then press the good circle on top and hold it down till it's dry

(that's why you need fast drying glue, lol!)

You can vary with your colors, mix and match those rosettes!

I've used different techniques to alter the rosettes a bit, one with Distress Ink and one with Glimmer Glam. The Glam make the rosette a bit more stiff. Don't forget to shake your bottle very well!!

For the others I used Stickles, gold paint and Diamond Dust.

With the Cropadile I made some holes and used the twine so I can hang them in the tree.

Last but not least I put some Pebbles on top.

Today I want to show you a winter card. I have used one of the beautiful Giordano stamps. I have coloured the image with distress ink, reinkers. All the edges on the image and the pattern papers are inked with distress ink, walnut stain.

Det er ikke lenge til jul og jeg henger etter med julekortene. Dette er et av de få kortene jeg får laget i år.
Jeg har brukt de nye julepapirene til Ladybug and friends og ett av de nye motivene til Ladybug, designet av Giordano.

Christmas is soon upon us and I am lagging behind in the making of christmas cards. This is one of the few I have made this year. I have used the new christmas paper from Ladybug and friends and one of the new motives from Ladybug, designed by Giordano.
Jeg liker denne bretteteknikken. Enkelt å lage og dekorativt.

I like this folding technique. It is simple to make and decorative.

I tillegg til julekortet fikk jeg også laget pakkelapper i samme farger og papir.

In addition to the christmas card, I made a few gift tags with the same colors and paper.

Pakkelappenen er enkle å lage. Blomstene er fra Ladybug.

The gift tag is easy to make. Flowers are from Ladybug.

Utrolig morsomt å bruke lakkstang og segl for å feste tråden...

It is fun to use sealing wax to glue the thread to the card.

Hi all, two cards to share with you this time, I love these stamps, they are the cuttest!

Giordano stamps, so great!

For both cards I used the Ladybug and Friends cardstock as a base and also for the flowers that I punched out and then painted with Glimmer Glaze.

For the first card I used several punches and Spellbinders die, including the Tim Holtz die to create the lovely site of this card using the Cuttlebug.

For this sweet Drummer Boy I distressed the edges and used a little red Distress ink on the edges. Here I also used a Spellbinders die.

Both stamped images are colored with Distress Ink and a water pen by Zig.

You can find more lovely stamps and the most wonderful papers in the shop.

It's always nice to get something different than a card in your mailbox, especially when it's filled with something yummie like tea, cookies or...chocolate! I've used Lauren Meader's Pretty Pieces to make this little tea bag holder. Easy to make and it makes a lovely gift. I am sure there are more templates on the internet to find that look similar but I love the designs of Lauren Meader, they always look fab finished!

Because of the size this stamp (Friendship) has it fits excellent with this project! The pockets are filled with Crabtree and Evelyn teabags.

Hi all, I want to share a Scrapbook layout with you instead of a card using Ladybug and Friends papers. I started with LB&F cardstock, this is such a wonderful color called Witch Hazel.

The other papers used are Follow your heart Green and Spring has Sprung Thankful. Both are double sided.

The alpha and butterfly are cut out with a Slice (thanks to my friend Monique) from cardstock called Rain Forest. The papers are distressed with Rangers Distress Ink.

The Ladybug and Friends papers are so good for scrapbooking as well as for cardmaking.

Good Morning!

Towards the beginning of the month

Here is a card I have made for the Ladybug and Friends blog. It is long time since I have made a blogpost here, but here I am. I have used a stamp from Elisabeth Bell at my card. I have to say that Elisabeth Bell is one of my favourite designers.

The image is coloured with distress ink, refillers. I have used the colours: vintage photo, antique linen, tattered rose, forest moss, victorian velvet and weathered wood.

All the beautiful papers are from Ladybug and Friends. The white flowers are Ladybug and Friends design too. I have added a brad in the middle of the flowers

For my card I have used:

Cardstock: cc050-berry blush, cc770-avalanche

Denne gangen har jeg laget et innholdsrikt kort, som mer eller mindre også er
en gave i seg selv. Kortet er laget til 60-års jubilant, og den anledning var det
viktig å bevare noen minner fra gjestene i forbindelsen med feiringen.

This time I have made a card that is more or less like a gift on its one. The card has been made for a 60th birthday, and I thought that it was important to save some memories of the day written by the guests.

Både tekst og symboler er nøye gjennomtenkt. Her er en nøkkel og hjerter.

Both text and symbols have been given much thought. Above you can see a key and hearts.

Forsiden er dekorert med blomster, perler og tekst fra Ladybug and friends nye stempler. Kortet lukkes med en liten magnet.

The front is decorated with flowers, pearls and text from Ladybug and friends' new stamps. The card can be closed with a little magnet.

På innsiden har jeg laget en liten lomme med plass til en liten bok som gjestene
skal skrive en personlig hilsen i. I lommen er det lagt til 16 lapper i str. 4x4
inch, hvor gjestene skriver på og som jubilanten skal lime inn etter eget ønske.
Ellers er også innsiden dekorert med stempler fra Ladybug and friends.

On the inside I have made a small pocket with room for a booklet where the guests can write a small personal greeting. Inside the pocket I have left 16 small 4x4" pieces of paper where the guests can write. Later the jubilee can glue these to the booklet. The inside is decorated with stamps from Ladybug and friends
as well.

I have used different paper in the same color hues, this way all pages in the book will give a different impression.

Denne boken inneholder 4 forskjellige ark i str. 5 x 11 inch. De er brettet
i to og du får da 16 sider uten om forsiden som er litt større.

This booklet contains 4 different paper i 5x11". The patterned paper is folded in two. This way you get 16 pages in addition to the slightly bigger front page.

Hexagonal Christmas!

I've made a hexagonal Christmas card using papers from the Julefryd collection. The stamp is also from Ladybug & Friends, this has been coloured with Copic markers. I've also used Antique Linen and Tea Dye distress inks.
The poinsettias have been die cut with a Quickutz die using cardstock from Ladybug & Friends and gems from my stash.

I love the tutorials from the Papirgleder-Kreativerside.no. Gry heidi has made her gorgeous interpretation from the Telyskort for you last week and I decide to make one like the one Tine has made for her tutorial you can find --->overhere<---although the tutorial is made in Norwegian language you can easily follow it because of the step by step photo's she has made. Love the result, it makes such a sweet little gift when you are going to visit someone on Christmas eve. Or on the side dish for your guest perhaps:-)?

I have used Spellbinder in the middle, but you can also use a punch or just keep the edges straight.

Da jeg fikk denne oppskriften på blåbærmuffins fra Linda hos Ladybug viste jeg at jeg bare måtte lage en blåbærmuffins i papir!! Jeg fant en oppskrift på Youtube og satte igang.

When I got this recipe for blueberry muffins from Linda at Ladybug I just knew that I had to make a blueberry muffin in paper! I found a recipe on Youtube and started.

Colouring with PrismaColor Pencils and Odorless spirits by Inge

Step 1 choose your design paper and stamp to work with, I always work this way it's so much easier when you first decide what colors to use on your card and then match the pencils with that. Saves a lot of time;-)

Step 2 stamp your image with Versafine Black on white paper

Step 3 choose the Prisma Color Pencils you want to use, look carefully to your design paper and choose matching colors

Step 4 color the face of the little girl with 939, you start with the lightest color and then shade with a darker color 1092

Step 5 Blend with Sansador and a paperstump

Step 6 Take the darker color and make a shade

Step 7 take a brown pencil 947 and color the hair shade with 1082

Step 8 blend with Sansodor and a paperstump

Step 9 take 988 to color her blouse together with 1005

Step 10 blend with Sansodor and a paperstump, work the same way with the striped blouse and trousers

Step 11 use chalk and a soft brush to give her red cheeks

Step 12 The background is colored with blue chalk

Step 13 give the girl some sparkle and highlights with Stickles and a white gelpen

Being a guest designer at the Sketch Saturday blog, I took my chance and made this cute Christmas card with a Giordano stamp and the gorgeous Ladybug and Friends Christmas Quilt designpaper.

Aren´t those girls cute together (in fact busy with coloring I noticed that they are boy and girl but ah well they can easily go together as two girlfriends don't ya think;-))

I've also decorated the inside and the backside of the card, this way it gives the card such a nice finishing touch. Especially with the personalized stamp!

I feel so happy that I got to play with this beautiful Elisabeth Bell stamp. This time I have made a card for a little boy/ a card for babtism. If you take a look in the Ladybug and Friends shop, you can see that there is almost a similar stamp for a girl.

I have used a paperbag to make my card. The paperbag is folded and then inked with distress ink. I have also made 2 tags. The image is painted with distress ink, reinkers. I have added stickles to the dress. The card is decorated with flowers, leaves, pearls, laces and swirls.

Goooodmorning everyone, I hope you all like the sneak peeks from the Giordano stamps that have arrived at the Ladybug shop. I do! I love all the samples shown by my fellow DT friends, so very inspirational:-D

Today I show yo this Little Drummer Boy and his puppie dog, aren't they sweet together in the snow...

The beautiful papers I've used are from the Julefryd collection and Snowmen melt your heart, I think it's fab that you can combine all the Ladybug papers from different collections with each other! The flowers are Ladybug pretty daisies, snow and Ladybug Cherry Bloom white.

I've stamped the edges with Tell Dagene, a gorgeous must have set to give that finishing touch to your stamped images.

This card is on its way to Norway ~ I hope it

makes it in time to go to the show in Oslo.

Good Morning!!

Today I get to showcase one of the new

stamps that were just released! This one

is called Party Girl.

Isn't she pretty!! I think you can use her for anything!

I have also used a sentiment off the new set called

Follow your heart! This set is full of fabulous

sentiments and I love the font!! So pretty!

The papers are from the Spring has Sprung line.

I have distressed all my edges with my scissors.

I don't feel a card looks done unless something is done

with the edges!! LOL

A Friendship Card....

Hello,

Today I have made a card using a Ladybugandfriends Elisabeth Bell Autumn '09 collection image A Letter For You.

I have distressed my papers, flowers and butterflies with vintage photo distress ink. The stickle glue I have used is Tiara under my image and silver ice around my edges. I have border punched velum with a Martha Stewart punch and stuck this onto a Vintage Collection image and added stickle glue star dust and liquid pearls.

Hoy les voy a mostrar cómo se hace un archivo con sobres de C5 y con uno de los motivos de Ladybug and Friends. Yo uso mi archivo para archivar los motivo que ya están dibujado. Es genial!

Today I will show how to make an archival folder with envelopes of size C5 with motives from Ladybug and Friends. I use my archival folder to archive the motives that I have painted. It´s a perfect match.

Se necesita sobres de C5 cortado por la mitad, carton cortado de tamaño 5 x 7 inches, papel cortado en 6 x 8 inches y papel 5 x 2 inches.

You need envelopes of C5 cut in half, the cardboard cut to 5x7 inches, patterned paper cut to 6x8 inches and 5x2 inches.

Primero se cubre el carton con el papel.

First, cover the cardboard with the patterned paper.
Para decorar los lados he usado Distress Ink.

For decoration of the sides, I have used Distress Ink.
La cartulina de medida 5 x 2 se devide en dos. En este archivo he usado la medida 6 x 2, y he descubrido que no resulta muy bien... por eso la foto no esta correcta.

Divide the patterned paper of 5x2" in two. In this archival box, I have used a size of 6x2" and have found that it did not turn out very well... for that reason, the foto is not 100% correct.
Pegar todos los sobres, solo en la mitad del sobre y cuidar que se abren por el mismo lado.

Glue all the envelopes together in the middle of the envelope and be careful that all envelopes open on the same side.

Pegar la cartulina de 5 x 2 entre dos sobres.

Glue the 5x2" patterned paper between two envelopes.
Así tienes un archivos para tus timbres o para otra cosa:)

This way you end up with an archival folder for your stamps or for other things :)

Decorar por frente y por atras. Recuerda que la cinta no se tiene que pegar con pegamento. La cartulina que está encima solo va pegada a los lados, para que la cinta se puede mover.

Decorate the front and back. Remember that you cannot use glue on the ribbons. The over laying patterned paper is only glued on the side, so the ribbon can move.

I have made a card with one of the beautiful Elisabeth Bell stamps. The stamp is from the autumn 09 collection and called hello sunshine. I just love the cute Elisabeth Bell stamps.

I have coloured the image with distress ink reinkers.The edges on the pattern papers and the image are inked with distress ink, walnut stain, and sewed.

I have decorated my card with flowers, charms, and some pearls. I have added stickles, silver, to the flowers. The text stamp is also from Ladybug and Friends.

Hello,

Today I have a card to share with you using an Elisabeth Bell image from the Autumn '09 release.

Flowers with a Wish has been stamped with Versafine black onyx onto 300gsm water colour paper. I have coloured this with distress ink pads. The sparkle is Stickle glue Star Dust. I have sprayed the flowers with Iridescent gold Glimmer mist.

Wow - where has the time gone... I think I blinked and missed July completely.

Today I have a card for you. Its a 'sending some hugs' card which can be used for any occasion, but I guess a Birthday or a Thinking of You occasion would be best.

Its a fairly simple card, I've used:

Not sure if you can see, but the edges have been dabbed with Distress Pain - Rock Candy flavour which is clear - really effective when the light hits it.

Today I want to show you how I've decorated a box of chocolate hearts. This was given to my son's teacher as he finished the primary school. This is the top of the lid.

When the DP is so beatiful at both sides it makes it difficult to decide what side to use, it can be nice to make a roll like this ;)

Hola a todos.
Hoy es mi día para presentar una tarjeta con los timbres maravillosos de Ladybug and friends.
Trataré de eksplicar lo mejor que puedo cómo se hace ésta tarjeta, que en íngles le llaman Easel card.He usado una carulina de medida 6x12 inch. Se devide en dos, 6 inch ( 6x6). El lado frontero tambíen se divide en dos, 3 inch. Ésto hace que la tarjeta se pude doblar y ací está parada.
Todos los materiales usado en esta tarjeta, se pueden comprar en la tienda electronica de Ladybug and friends.

Wedding card

First of all I am so happy to be a design team member of the Ladybug and friends. Thank you so much for the opportunity Linda.

Here is a wedding card I have made. I have used two Elisabeth Bell stamps and masked them together.
The image is coloured with distress ink reinkers. I have used the colours tattered rose, black soot, vintage photo, shabby shutters and weathered wood.

The edges on the image and the pattern papers are inked with distress ink, walnut stain, and sewed.

The card is decorated with roses, flowers, pearls, flower pins and laces.

I have also decorated the inside of the card.

I have used:

Stamps:bride, groom- Elisabeth Bell, Ladybug autumn 09 samlesett- Tell dagene

Cardstock: cc770 avalanche, cc700 quicksand

Pattern papers: Thanks a latte, vintage collection sheet volum 7 (I have used one of the tags)

Christmas card with a letter included

If you haven't noticed yet, we all have a kind of hang-up for Christmas cards at the moment ;) No wonder, because Linda has made a gorgeous sheet of pictures and sentiments. This is a free to download for all who visits our blog, but don't wait until July is over, because then it will be gone!

I have made a Joy Fold Card with one of the images. This folding is such a brilliant idea; it's really an easy way to decorate all sides of the card! This is how the front looks like...

When you download this sheet, remember you can print it on several types of paper! I printed one sheet at 160 gr copy paper, and one at some tracing paper. I like to use this kind of paper for sentiments. This one is placed on a shipping tag, sponged with Distress Ink 'walnut stain'and sprayed with pink Glimmer Mist.

Now it's time to open the card...

...and when the card is completely open, you'll find a little greeting in the middle and voila! A Christmas letter included :) (when the card is closed, the letter will be hidden under the small card).

No, I'm not that crazy - I haven't written any Christmas letters yet ;) but many of us do, so this is just an idea how you can include it in a card :) I've used the image from the tracing paper here.

Goodmorning girls, today I am going to show you a little tutorial I've made with the gorgeous Ladybug Free Sentiments and Motif Download you can find at the right side of the sidebar. I've decided to make a christmas tag card. Let's start...

First cut a card base 11 x 30 cm and fold

Make a nice selection of Ladybug designpapers and cardstock, print out the sheet and choose the image you want to work with.

For the card base, cut out 10,5 x 14, 5 cm Lavender Twilight and 10 x 14 cm designpaper Englesang. Glue on the white card base.

Cut a piece of designpaper 10,5 x 15 cm and fold at 3,5 cm this is going to be the pocket

Glue on both sides an the bottom

Cut a piece of designpaper 10,5 x 5 cm tear and glue under the pocket front (photo)

Distress and ink up the image

Cut pieces of cardstock, 6,5-9,3 cm and 7 x 9,8 cm

Glue everything together, and embellish the front of the card. Cut out a tag 7 x 13 cm

Embellish the tag and use one of the sentiments from the sheet or stamp one. That's it:-)

And I've also made a non x-mas sample
